Newsmakers: Astronaut gives flute serenade on space station

Newsmakers: Astronaut gives flute serenade on space station: "Flute serenade
on space station

Musical astronaut Catherine Coleman has plenty of flutes to pick from aboard the International Space Station.

One is her own. Two belong to members of Irish group the Chieftains. And one belongs to Jethro Tull flutist Ian Anderson.

Coleman said she prefers creating music with other people. But as the only flutist among the space station crew, she puts flute music on in the background and plays along.

She said she enjoys creating her 'own little world' with music. She hopes to team up with the Chieftain and Tull flutists for a live space-to-ground concert before she returns to Earth in May."
